St. Louis

We took a trip to St. Louis this weekend and stayed with some friends. We went to the Magic House on Friday. Saturday it was raining, but we went to the zoo anyway. We had rain coats and umbrellas, it could have been better. Sunday morning on our way out of town we went to Grant's Farm. We got there before the rain hit, but it was still cloudy and cool. Oh, and our friends had a drumset, which Kellen loved playing!

Mother's Day and the zoo

Kellen and I went to the zoo a few weeks ago and he took his first train ride. He loves train, so he was so excited it. And here is our annual Mother's Day pic.

Kite Festival and Big Truck Night

Kellen and I had our first picnic at the Kite Festival at Longview a few weeks ago. We had fun and plan on going next year.
Kellen had a blast at the MODOT big truck night, as you can tell from the pics!

Easter

I always like getting a picture of Kellen with his Easter basket. He is getting so big. We hosted Easter dinner and had an Easter egg hunt. Kellen wanted to open each one as soon as he found it. He liked opening them and spilling all the change and jelly beans on the ground.

Zoo

We went to the zoo last week, for the first time since fall. Kellen was definitely more into it and I was so happy I am only working 1 day a week again. My mom was able to come with us and here are a couple of pictures.

Dying Easter Eggs

This was the first year Kellen was big enough to dye easter eggs. Kellen really liked putting the stickers on. Here is a picture of Lee and Kellen working on the eggs, and then a picture of what Kellen did to the eggs on Monday. I thought he was just putting more stickers on, but he was smashing the eggs!

Daddy's helper

Lee put in a new floor in our kitchen and dining room a few weeks ago and Kellen wanted to help of course. Here are some pictures of how much Kellen was helping Lee rip up the linoleum, in all of about 5 minutes. And Lee and Kellen built a snow man during our March snowstorm. It was so warm Kellen didn't even need a coat.
