Shoveling snow and first hot cocoa

I bought Kellen a snow shovel and he was so excited when it snowed a little bit last weekend.  The only way to get him inside was to offer him homemade hot cocoa.  He had never had hot cocoa before but he definitely like it!

Santa

Lee's office brings Santa in to visit with the kids.  Kellen got to sit on Santa's lap, eat cookies, and color. I posted a video of Kellen asking Santa for a choo choo.  Here are a few pictures of him enjoying the activities and holding a baby that was there to visit Santa, too!

Visit with Santa

Kellen's big boy bed

Thursday night Lee finally got Kellen's room finished.  We moved him into our office.  Lee painted it last week, we have new furniture, and Kellen spent his first night not in a crib on Thursday!  It's been hard to settle him down for nap and bedtime, but he hasn't been climbing out of bed.

Here is picture of his new bed, and him sleeping in it the first night.  I will post pictures of his room soon.

Thanksgiving

I snapped a couple of pictures while Kellen was dressed up for Thanksgiving, and I think they turned out pretty cute!

Fall Family Pics

My friend Beth is a photographer and did pictures for us 2 weeks ago.  She did our pictures last year and did a great job.  Here are some of them.

Halloween

We let Kellen trick or treat for the first time this year.  He loved it!  I was just going to take him to 3 neighbor's houses, and then go to trunk or treat at church.  But he just took off and wanted to trick or treat around the whole neighborhood.  We also got to take a hayride around the block. Kellen loved passing candy out to all the kids!

Fall Fun

We carved our first pumpkin with Kellen this Halloween.  He refused to stick his hand in it to get the seeds out.  But he liked lighting the pumpkin up every night.
A couple of days before Halloween we went to the pumpkin patch.  Kellen's favorite part was an old wagon filled with dried corn.  He liked to scoop it up with all the trucks.

Union Station and Crown Center

This morning we took Kellen to see a steam engine that made a stop at Union Station.  He liked looking at it and using his new train whistle.  While we were there we checked out the dinosaur exhibit.  I was afraid Kellen would be scared because they are huge, and the move and roar.  But he wasn't!  His favorite part was digging for fossils.  Then we had lunch at Fritz's.  Lee and Kellen were engrossed in watching the train deliver the food!

Zoo and Lousiburg Cider Mill

Here are a couple pictures of our trips to the zoo this month.  Lee and I took Kellen to Louisberg on Saturday and here are some pics of that.   Kellen enjoyed his apple cider donut!

A few funny pictures

So it looks like it has been about 2 months since I have posted.  My excuse is that I had morning sickness for 3 months and am just now starting to feel better. I am now 16 weeks and am starting to feel normal again.  We have been doing lots of things and getting out of the house, I just hadn't uploaded my camera for a long time.  I have pictures of Kellen at the zoo, keeping food away from the ducks at Loose Park, helping me cook, and playing at his workbench.

Kellen's Firetruck

Summer

Kellen was in swim lessons this summer, and we went to the splashground in Independence twice in one week! He loves it there.
