Weekend Trip

We went to Branson with my family on Memorial Day Weekend. Kellen has been teething and has been very fussy, which did not make for a fun car ride.

Kellen also refused to eat all of the usual healthy food I packed him: yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit, string cheese, craisins. He is very hard to keep occupied and quiet in restaurants, and we were visiting at least 1 a day. So, here are some pictures of him eating some greasy, not healthy food for the first time to keep him quiet!

He loved dipping onion rings in ranch dressing at Cheddar's, Lee's favorite place is Springfield. Kellen really liked the ranch, which he hadn't had before.

Kellen dipped his hand in butter, which he then licked off and topped off with some bacon.

And he has a love for tortilla chips, which you can see from the bowl in front of him.

Fortunately when we got home he returned to his normal eating habits. He still wants tortilla chips, but I've been giving him baked pita chips instead and he's been happy with those.

Kellen also played mini golf and we tried out his new backpack/leash which worked out pretty good. We could keep him near us, make sure he didn't get too close to the rocks and water at the mini golf course but he got to walk around, too.

On our way home, Kellen screamed for about 2 hours. I took some video of it because it was just so ridiculous - he was shrieking half the time. Of course once I videoed, he straightened up some. We were laughing at some parts because he was just so dramatic and we were going a little crazy toward the end.

Lots of pictures!

I took Kellen to Paradise Park last week and his favorite part is the pizza parlor. He really liked taking all the dishes out and serving me pizza. Kellen also enjoyed playing in the sand for the first time!
Lee put in a new microwave on Sunday and Kellen really wanted to help him as you can see from the pictures.
Kellen started climbing this week! I'm not too excited about that but I did capture a picture of the first time he did it.

Kellen also helped me cook this week. Now that we don't have disgusting countertops, I've been letting him sit on the counter next to the kitchen aid mixer when I am using it. I made pizza dough and let Kellen have a little ball of dough to knead. All he did was tear off little pieces to eat! We also made his favorite muffins and he kept trying to stick his finger in the bowl to taste the batter.

Tickle, Tickle, Tickle

Kellen tips his head back when he wants you to tickle his neck. Usually he does it in the grocery cart, but the last few days he has done it at home, too.
Here's the video.
